The Wise Book Club meets on the last Thursday of
each month at 11 am. Club members take turns leading the book discussion for
each month and acting as hostess for the meetings. Lunch is served at each
meeting with designated hostesses planning the meal. Dues are $8 at each
meeting, which pays for lunch, as well as a portion going into the club treasury
for club projects. Most meetings are held at the YMCA, but some hostesses may
plan the meetings at their home or at a restaurant. The club sponsors a child
from Children's International, as well as a scholarship fund to provide Y
memberships to deserving youth.
Several fun day trips are planned throughout the
year.
